Conexus wins at the Loeries 2004!

Conexus was recently awarded 3 Loeries for Digital Media, Multiple Media and CRM in respect of its Cargo Cares Programme, which was implemented in conjunction with Cargo Motors. The Cargo Cares Programme achieved recognition as an outstanding CRM programme by successfully meeting the judges criteria of:

  • » enhancing customer loyalty,
  • » deriving value (both transactional and emotional) and
  • » increasing involvement with the Cargo brand.

The Cargo Cares Programme displayed practical evidence of CRM "Best Practice" elements within it's design and execution and it was vital for Conexus and Cargo that all interactions with customers were only conducted upon the receipt of consent from said customers. Different customers were treated differently based upon complex profiles and the database was structured accordingly to ensure effective and efficient communication. Each customer received customised information which was of personal relevance. In addition, Cargo Cares caters for real-time, customer centric and measurable reporting which ensures that customer communication is continuously tweaked in order to ensure that it was as effective as possible.

The Cargo Cares Programme has produced a measurable impact upon sales, customer satisfaction and retention and knowledge management and continues to be utilised successfully in the automotive arena.

Section 1 : Media Categories

Digital Media (Gold Loerie)
Multiple Media (Bronze Loerie)

Digital media campaigns designed to solicit a measurable response (online sales, traffic, enquiries, donations, etc.) The entry may be for a web site, email campaign, banner campaign, SMS campaign, MMM campaign (multi media messaging) or communications on DVD or CD-ROM.


Section 2 :Markets

Automotive (Finalist)

Products or services in the automotive industry. This includes car sales, retention programs, accessories, motoring services and after-sales. Campaigns focused on businesses may be included, but those aimed mainly at car finance should be entered in the Financial category.


Section 4: Strategic and Intergrated Marketing

Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) Programmes (Gold Loerie)

For the most outstanding program that enhances customer loyalty, value (transactional and emotional) and involvement with a brand. The program must be able to prove that it has had a positive effect in terms of maintaining or building customer value - pushing the client base to a higher level of loyalty - from basic acquisition to the point where the customer becomes an advocate of a product or service.

The Loerie Festival is a compelling marketing and communications event offering a comprehensive blend of celebration, learning, development, sharing, and networking, wrapped in a festival of fun.

The event is founded on the 26-year old Loerie Awards, now extended to include an international conference, a marketing educators conference, exhibition, and an executive business leaders programme.
